'I have about twelve years experience as a lighting cameraman, principally working for broadcast, initially for regional ITV and more recently BBC national News and Current Affairs. Before Shooting and lighting myself, I worked in broadcast TV documentaries and drama as a film and video camera assistant.

My lighting and framing is strong. I understand 3 point lighting well, effective green screen for DV/HDV and higher quality formats, hard/soft/available lighting decisions relating to subject matter as well as large stage rigs. I feel competent to bring in strong, visually dynamic material in a wide range of environments and settings. I record my own sound when the situation and requirement is straightforward.

My interests have taken me towards projects of my own which have resulted in a one hour documentary and more recently a series of 45 weekly short films, made over a year, which are on the web (see 'little films' above). This has meant I have worked as lighting cameraman, operator (including regular 'live' OB work) and as film-maker under my own steam as well as in broadcast/corporate settings. I have a good sense of the responsibility the different roles entail.

Editing, with FCP primarily, I have developed skills with short films and longer pieces, both documentary style as well as presentation/conference material. I used AVID (incl symphony) for some time prior to switching to FCP. I am familiar with Flash, QT and other encoding processes.

All kit and formats available. I do own a Z1, with Sachtler 18 tripod, Sennehiser 416, 4 channel soundmixer, a Four Head Omni light kit, Caselight available as are radio mic channels, flight cases, etc. I am based in West London'.
